Separate app sound didnt work with andriod auto

when I connected to Android Auto via wire to my car. separate app sound doesn't at all!!.,.... 
doesn't know why.. i cannot play whatsapp voice message and messenger voice msg with phone speaker while my music is played to car speaker..

everytime I listen to voice msg my music pause I have to manually play back.. very annoying.. tried everything nothing works...it was working fine before 6.0

Wat to do ??? help!!

I have this setup... it didnt work like last time.. one of the reason i buy SAMSUNG its becus it has this feature,... if samsung doesnt wan to fix andriod auto seperate app sound, its meaningless to use a samsung phone.. i would rather use IPHONE...

Samsung can't change how Android Auto works. That's Google.

Have you found any solution for this? I have the same problem and have a theory that might explain things. I think SAS mainly works only with Bluetooth devices. When connecting to Android auto, the phone creates a wifi network and connects to the head unit via WiFi and not Bluetooth. Because of this, music in reality is being casted by the head unit so the phone never recognizes that it is connected to a separate Bluetooth audio device and therefore doesn't allow the SAS to execute. 

Not sure if it is a SAS issue or an Android Auto issue, maybe they changed how Android auto connects?

Just throwing theories out there.
