I thought I'd make some noise here by asking the developers to unlock the 60fps raw data stream so that apps can access this. A few months ago this data stream was visible to apps, and it was amazing capturing 4k 60fps raw videos on my Galaxy S23. I made beautiful videos with it, the camera was THE reason I got an S23 after all
And then in an update.... Samsung killed it 😕 No more 60fps. The update tweaked a bunch of things in the camera app (mostly good so thank you developers for your hard work!!) and also improved the UFS4.0 storage performance (thank you again), but the update locked out 60fps. Bummer.
So I'm asking Samsung Developers to please re-unlock this. It was there before, we loved it, we made beautiful things with your beautiful hardware, and now for unknown reasons, it's gone.
You make some of the most powerful phones, with (in my opinion) the best cameras, in a form factor I can actually hold, so please can I use them to their maximum potential to expand the creativity in my heart?
Samsung developers, you're the unsung behind the scenes heroes of these phones and don't get enough credit for making them spectacular, please help make them even greater
