Ever since I owned s10 plus I always went on sammobile website for reassurance and it clearly shows s23 128gb ufs 3.1 and s23 256gb ufs 4.0 doesn't make any difference.

Both models same just faster loading apps but I find s23 128gb still OK loading good and fast

Hi @sarasphotobox

Thank you for sharing the link. 👍

There will be lots of varying opinions in regards to the Samsung Galaxy s²³ series of phone's with sammobile.com being one site I follow too.

I also like to go by my own personal experiences after using these online sites to give an indication of what to expect.

I use the Ultra version.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I have built a lot of PCs and you see a lot of these variations in performance e.g PCIe 3.0 Vs PCIe 4.0 etc etc and it is true to say one is faster than the other. But there is a big but? I.e how much will the user actually notice? In fact you are talking about tiny fractions of a second so you can increase speed many times sometimes and it would make little to no difference at all to the users experience as the speeds involved are so fast you couldn't tell the difference between the two in most applications. Other factors come into play etc such as the capacity of the drive etc e.g as an OS can find files quicker on a smaller drive because there isn't as much space to search for them etc. The time you would notice a slight difference is in boot up times when everything has to load, if playing huge intensive games or loads gigantic files such as 4k movies etc. There can be some additional benefits such as more efficient power usage and less operating temp etc that can help the overall running of a device etc. Given that as I understand it, all S23 models share the same CPU etc I would argue that in some cases the base model can be quicker than the high end models simply because there aren't as many heavy gismos and background activities running at the same time so it doesn't need to work as hard if that makes sense. In my opinion there will be minimal if any difference at all in actual real world performance between the base model and the top model. The only real difference is having the functions you need to use. There are additional benefits in the IT world such as bragging rights I e you can say my UFS is bigger than your UFS even though it probably doesn't make much difference 😜 I would like to see Samsung's high end nVme storage technology in future models, now then we would be talking 🙂

If it does the effect will be tiny. Looking at your previous posts on battery usage you are getting much better battery life than I get on my S23 Ultra 512gb so it boils down mostly to how you use your phone. Hope this helps

As long as you've got what you need that's all that matters. There are varying opinions on all kinds of things and it's good to get a range of opinions and advice but the opinion that counts is your own opinion at the end of the day🙂 I am a really heavy users and I could manage with 128gb. Getting extra storage is good for peace of mind etc and helps with future proofing etc but if you don't need it, it can be wasteful especially if it's expensive. Like all purchases you balance your needs with your budget and get what does the job. If I didn't have this phone I would be more than happy to have a 128gb S23 as they are an amazing phone 🙂
