S23U signal poor

Since the latest update I've noticed lower signal bars than previously anyone else? I used to get 4-5 bars 4g. Now I get 1-2... same network... same home... don't know what's caused it. I'm blaming the latest update as wad fine prior to installing it.

Hmmmm, Blaming something without evidence isnt logial until you can find evidence to blame someone with. I get your thought process, the only thing I can suggest is take it outside, down the road and see if the bars increase. If you were savvy with tech and ould see the future you could have recorded your signal strength in about Status information, Sim card status. In there you will see Signal Strength in Dbm, the close to 0 the better although anything around 90 is considered good. If you signal STR is above 100 it starts poor and by the timme you hit 120 its bad, funny thing is with signal strength, you can have 5 bars and have zero connection and thats down to the quality thats the next set of numbers next to signal str called ASU the higher that number if i remember rightly the stronger or better the quality signal, Quality signal and Strength go hand in hand. Did you drop your phone recently.

Also let me know what your readings are,
mine at the moment on tab s9 ultra

I am getting 4g+ in my area with 2 bars.
I have looked at the coverage map for myself and I am very close to a black out spot so intenet for me is on and off most of the time

For you though it will be entirely different.

Hi @adamlee 

As a first troubleshooting step go into Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Connections > Reboot your phone. 

Also check signal using your networks relevant Network checker ,and or give them a call / use Live Chat to ensure no masts are down, or the network is experiencing congestion issues. 

You could also move the sim if it's a physical sim to the secondary sim slot to see if that helps.

The new update as been diabolical. My wife’s s23 is logging out of things not charging and just behaving very weird. Checked for viruses hacks it’s all clean. I think wait till July update and hopefully things will get better. Her phone is that bad at the moment that if it isn’t resolved she may have to move.

July update is close. They are testing July builds now. Any day it could roll out. Hopefully soon bec a lot of issues. The baseband was updated with June update and my signal issues only started with this build. I guess I could roll back to the previous update but I'm flying to cape verde tomorrow so don't really have time to do it.1719947877868.jpg

Yea I hope so fingers cross, she went on business last week and had to send her with her old iPhone 12 mini as at one point the s23 just wouldn’t charge which was obviously just before she was leaving 🙄 worst update I have ever known Samsung to do. Hopefully your phone will get more signal while you are away

I wireless charge mine. Check the charger port incase there's anything stuck in there preventing it from charging. Or check Amazon for a wireless charger. Use mine every night over night.

Yea I wireless charge my 15 PM she prefers cable wireless charging works fine but she’s one of those that never charges it and needs it quick when she realises which is why this is an issue. I just bang mine on an anker MagSafe charger every night and forget about it. Checked the port and it’s fine it’s defo the update
