Hi all, want to buy from privae seller in Ireland second hand s23 ultra mint but he honestly claims that phone have some admin account by SE UK company which as he again claims wont affect it funcionality in future. He sent me video where all basic services including signing in google accounts etc are working no prob. Even resetting to factory setting no prob.

So the question is, is there some hidden problems that might appear in future if I get this phone??

PS. Not sure if I'm allowe to post seller video here with his comments.

Hi there, i would not recommend buying phone who has admin account on it since The first account added to a Samsung device is the administrator account, which has full control over the device. I suggest to get it from high street retailers or directly from Samsung, if you desperately want to get it from like second hand device try something like CEX if something goes wrong at least they gives you warranty or try refurbished phones.

Heres what exactly seller states in his add, not sure if this is full admin account in particular

"THIS PHONE IS CONFIGURED BY: SE UK

“Samsung UK support state it is an enterprise device, and you cant get rid of.
Samsung being the adminstrator”

Man this has red flags all over it.
There will be other devices out there that will be as good but without that sort of software on it.
As @Iminvti has said. Look at a more reputable retailer.
It will be cheap for a reason.
Make sure the phone you get will be a UK device, or if in Ireland. Devices are for there.

It's buyer beware buying privately. Got to do your homework.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

As the device is an Enterprise Edition, this is likely to indicate that the seller doesn't have full ownership of the device.

The Enterprise (I e. SE UK) could therefore factory Data Reset your device at any time directly from their IT Department.

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Only the company should sell it.

Hi @local_chap you should certainly not buy this enterprise device, too much of a risk.    In general though I would be wary of  private sellers in any case, as others have said better to look at a more reliable source.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

The local fone shops in Ireland is a sparkling  sample of human greed. They want to make up to 100% margin. Check that CEX, thats pure nightmare for pricing. Whereas private sellers are always the way to some nice bargain from my own experience.

You might pay "bargain" price but you will be at your own when something happens to your device. Like blacklisted or so on. if you can't afford flagship there's always alternatives like A series or even S series like s22 ultra make sure you get it from shop who will give you warranty at least so if something goes sideways you always be covered. it's always better pay more for thing you want then regret afterwards and pay 2x.
