S23 Ultra screen cracked due to heat

So on Sunday (3 days ago) I left my phone on the passenger seat of my car for about 10 minutes. When I picked it up, it was cracked! It has a protective case and a screen protector on at all times and I didn't drop it in any way. Samsung say it's not covered under warranty as this is a physical damage. Surely the device is faulty if it cracks in the heat and should be fixed under warranty. No?

Wasn't it very hot last Sunday. Possibly, the cars windscreen has played a part and caused the phones screen to crack due to the intense heat. No, you're not covered under warranty as the phone wasn't faulty. Is it insured for accidental damage?

Hi, I'm sure this would be accidental damage and wouldn't be covered under samsungs standard warranty.

The warranty would only cover manufacturers' faults such as internal components, etc.

Hi @umieram

Unfortunately not.

See if you have any cover under any relevant Home Contents Insurance or some bank accounts provide cover as a perk of the account.

Alternatively Samsung can fix the screen for a fee.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎
