I have always had Samsung phones and updated as soon as possible, but after updating my phone today my battery is draining very fast. Before the update my phone could have 80% and next day with little use, 40%. After update today 80 %, now 6 hours later after hardly any usage, 17%. Something must have been badly wrong with the latest update! Samsung please fix either roll back or fix the current update!!!

S24 ultra series where the first to be blocked using these codes ever since Samsung wants everyone to use Samsung members app to run diagnostics

Some Older phones like s23 s22 series and A series phone will still use these codes but any new phone going forward will use the app for diagnostics

Works fine in my S25 Ultra, S24 Ultra and S23 Ultra but hey, you work in a shop so we will all assume you know best.

Thanks for your input.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Dude don't sit there and try to intimidate me because it won't work because you think you know better when you don't, these codes haven't worked over the past 2 months and that's on a mix of SM S24 and SM 24ultra SM25 and SM 25ultra aswell as SM A53 SM A54 and SM A55 including SM A05s= a06s and A16 all which have been verified with Samsung because the codes are not expected to work it's all gotta be done on the app.

Odd, still seems to work fine on my Note 10+ 5G, S21 Ultra and S25 Ultra. Even works on my non-phone Tab S8 Ultra. Better yet, it works on my Galaxy Watch 6 too... 😂

My battery life after the February 2025 update has cut the life in half, I use to take the phone off the charger at 7am and not have to plug it up till around 930pm even with heavy usage, now I have to charge my phone during the day.....

Anyone got any ideas on how to boost the battery life back up, or is this more of the planned  let make the phones obsolete so they upgrade?

Hello 👋 @Truckdude239

First please use the optimisation option in your device Care section.

Then under the battery section look at what apps are using your battery and take appropriate action such as using sleep or deep sleep or remove the app if its not needed.

You can clear the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section too.

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port or a usb-c to usb-c phone to phone set up to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

May I suggest to perform a forum search as you may find already existing threads with help and advice within.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Is there a fix for this or is this typical Samsung forcing you to upgrade

If they don't fix this the only upgrade I'll be making is is switching to a phone that has a very distinctive logo in the shape of a fruit and a number 16.
