S23 Ultra and Galaxy Buds Pro 2 Issues

I have had a few issues with the bluetooth connectivity of my S23 Ultra.

Firstly I am unable to take or make phone calls with my headset.  For instance, I can be listening to music or watching youtube through my headphones, but if I answer a phone call it switches away from Bluetooth, but still shows me the option to use it.  When I click on it on the phone screen, I can hear the audio from my headphones for a moment, before it switches itself back to phone audio. I have restarted my phone, and checked to make sure all of the settings are turned on my headphones via the wearable app.

Secondly, and even more annoying, is when I have one headphone in my ear, and the other in its case charging, and walk away with my phone, the audio from the only headphone I am using cuts out.  If these are standalone headphones, why is my audio chopping out when I walk away from the headphone that isn't even being used! I haven't had this issue with past Samsung headphones so this one doing it is really aggravating.

Any help with either of these issues would be greatly appreciated!

How far do you move away from the phone before the sound deteriorate? Did you try redoing the bluetoorh connection removed/re-add

I have tried resetting the earbuds and reconnecting them to my phone, and my phone is with me however the earbud that I am not using is still in my case and after about 30 to 50 ft the one that is in my ear stops working, in which case I have to disconnect and turn off my Bluetooth and then return it back on to just the one earbud

Depending on how the earbuds set up, the one in the case may be the master earphone, in which case it's routing connection to the bud in your charger and not the one you're wearing/carrying with you. When they connect, one bud is assigned master control and the audio is synced through that bud to it's paired partner. Your phone does not communicate to both buds directly.

I have the same problem with calls on my s22 ultra and Galaxy Buds Pro after installing update to One UI 6 and  Android 14. I can make calls using my Sony wh-1000XM3, so something has to be fixed either on Buds or on the phone.

Also what  said does not seem right. I have used either earphone separately with no problems. I would imagine that Buds pro 2 work the same as Buds Pro.

Update on my issue, I made an error report using phones own reporting system, attached logs and everything.

After 1 night the problem solved itself without any change from my part, I can use my Buds on phone calls.

My phone battery died during that night and after restart it has worked correctly. Funny is that I get following messages for my error report saying that issue has been forwarded to technical support. Hope that they can fox your issue @Alex Werdin with an software update.

Buds working well with any other device.
