For past 6 months or more the 10x+ lens is producing unusable grey/washed out shots. This is happening on our 2 S23 Ultras and I suspect happened with a One UI update?. The 10-100zoom lens also now has issues focusing also ( focus can be worked around by overzooming and zooming back out). Neither issue was there when phones were bought in mid 2023.
Here's a Gallery screenshot of two similar photos taken back to back at 10.3 zoom vs 9.9. As soon as the 10x lens is engaged, images turn to muck.
Any ideas ??

Same problem. After resetting phone factory data. The situation has not changed. I think it's a software issue.

I have the same issue. When I zoom from 3x to 10x on far away objects, as the zoom changes, there is a short period of time (less than on second), where the images sharp and clear. Then it goes dull and washed out.
Oddly, when I zoom on nearby objects, I do not see the same issue.

Same. No problems with close objects, only with distant ones, especially if the darker object.

I have to admit, I'm having the same issue with the GCAM app when zooming in with the 10x lens. But yeah, haven't noticed this when I first got the phone. Is it not maybe related to OneUI 6?

Who faces such a problem. Deliver your device to the warranty one. I did it and it was a malfunction of the camera module. They changed the camera module and the camera works as it should

This is the same issue with mine. The 10x optical zoom is a disaster, want to ask since I plan to have mine check next week, does it take days for them to fix it?
