That's definitely is a conundrum @Nij90  🤔

One troubleshooting step is Safe Mode.

> Safe Mode  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/ turns off downloaded apps and themes etc which may highlight an app or theme that's causing conflict.

Also please do send your feedback via your Samsung Members App so this goes directly to the relevant Samsung Department.

There is also a diagnostic tool in your Battery and Device Care.

Also one via dialing this in your phone app.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

That can happen if your phone is connected to a Bluetooth device e.g wireless speaker or buds etc, you could try switching off Bluetooth. Other than that if I run into glitches or apps start to misbehave I do a soft reset i.e hold power and volume button down at the same time and keep them pressed until the phone has shut down and starts again, when you see the Samsung logo release the buttons. Hope this helps

Figured it out, turns out my volume keys had an accessibility shortcut on it.. A long press up or down would mute all sounds completely? Fk knows why Samsung thought this was a good idea to kill all speakers on the phone but okay.. It flashed up when I went into the settings and turned it off

I'm having the same issue.  It's the third time this year I've had this.  Volume stops working.  You press the up button and it remains shadowed out.  The only resolution is to reset all your settings.  It sucks.  Samsung needs to fix this.
