S23 RCS chats not available

I had RCS chats available just a couple days ago and used it for months at this point. For some reason now my S23 ultra says they are not available for the device? Has anyone else had this issue? I've made sure to update everything and there aren't any toggles to switch.

Thank you to everyone who helped! I ended up figuring it out by turning on airplane mode (not sure if necessary) deleting the cache and data from my Google messages app then turning off airplane mode prompted the RCS message to pop up and allow me to use it again!

Just worth checking the general settings are connected to RCS first. I assume you are using the Google messaging app ? SmartSelect_20240824_172451_Samsung capture_1000030326_1724516691.jpg

Yes, I'm using the Google messages app. It just shows me this now instead of the options or toggles to turn it on or off.

No changes with sim card supplier ? I think it might be a question for your network. Some things need to be enabled at the network level. I.e. WiFi calling won't work unless it is unlocked by supplier. Perhaps they have done something at their end.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK Community Forum

Just a thought, have you rooted your device at all?

And are you signed into your Google account....

Uninstalling and reinstalling Messages (from the Play Store) worked for me.

Did you lose your messages?

I uninstalled and reinstalled messages, and didn't lose any texts. I avoided deleting the data and cache because of this fear.

I had this problem too. Instead of deleting cache and data, I Uninstalled the app and then updated the app. It worked after that
