I don't think WiFi uses a lot unless your not close to the router. What does happen though if you have no signal is your phone can use a lot of power trying to find one. A good habit to significantly increase battery life is to turn off anything that needs a signal if your not using it e.g if you have no mobile signal turn off mobile data in the drop down quick menu, same if your out and about turn off WiFi and Bluetooth etc. You just need to remember to switch them back on when you need them. I have WiFi calling enabled and whenever I'm in a mobile blackspot I turn off mobile data and it makes a huge difference and it even seems to make the phone a little quicker as it's not doing as much work. Hope this helps
Ahh ok so begore i turned on wifi calling today I always turn off mobile data at home and I have bixby routine all data off at night then it turns back on the WiFi only from a certain time
Is that OK should I also turn off wifi calling when bixby routine is set all data off at night
It looks like you've got it under control. I don't use Bixby or Google assistant but yes the rule of thumb is if you don't need it then turn it off, just remember though if everything is off you can't receive calls or notifications which is good for do not disturb etc but I tend to leave my phone connected in case one of kids needs to get in touch. Sometimes it's trial and error developing your own routine that works for you but doesn't cause too much hassle.
I'll have a look, I think they are really useful but I had a couple of issues with Google assistant. One in car with sat nav or streaming radio on the Google listening box kept popping up interrupting, I'm assuming it was picking up key words from the cars speakers. The worst was in a formal meeting with phone locked and on silent but the assistant would occasionally start talking asking to repeat the question lol quite embarrassing in a quiet meeting with a room full of people 😂 so I have since turned off all the assistants as it can save a lot of background usage too but I will certainly check out the link. Thank you
