Topic says it all

Someone just tell me how the hell I can downgrade to one ui 6, this piece of garbage is unusable with this long delayed update

By the way, well done Samsung, I'm gonna switch to iphone after long 8 years because of this.

You managed to roll out one of most buggy updates so far

1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer USBC to USBC (you may also connect to another Samsung mobile via USBC). Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

Let me also add what is the problem and why I am disappointed of Samsung to a level which I desire to buy an iPhone now

It all started when I updated the phone, generally it is good and I liked it at first but suddenly my buds 2 and watch disconnected, phone froze and just got so much laggy to a point that I forcefully restarted the phone by holding volume and power button

I never had this experience and just said it was ok for phone to freeze after an update, now I am having this issue at least once every day and god knows I have not installed anything new on the device.

If I don't restart I see system ui dialog saying it is crashing and asking me to either wait pr stop it.

This is in one word the most awful update anyone can expect, I switched to Samsung for very same reason I am now switching to iphone. What a shame

This isn't working. Something about the s23 is simply not working with this update. I did the cache wipe. I restart my phone 5 times a day. I can no longer switch between my Facebook personal and Facebook Meta for my business. I can no longer send photos or even get them to load in attempt. I read that this only affected the s23 and s27. So is there a way back out of it? Factory resetting my phone is not going to reverse the bugs of the latest update. I just bought this phone 4 months ago albeit it refurbished, it wasn't cheap. I need a workable solution here or I too will be heading over to iphone. I have  business to run and this isn't ok bc today, I can't communicate with my clients at all.

Everyone keeps saying wipe system cache. How many of us S23 users are needed to say that we did it and it doesn't work. I have a degree in computer science, I can follow instructions and I know how to reboot. THIS IS NOT THE FIX. The question is what is the fix or how to get out the update? Again ....wiping cache does nothing at all. I see no logic in factory reset bc the update and the problem will still be there.

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Forum

In relation to the Facebook and Meta issues, you'll need to reach out to Meta Developers via the Google Play Store as there will likely be a compatibility issue with their apps.

Trying to open photos should not be an issue. Are you using Samsung Gallery or another app?

S27? Think you may be a couple of years ahead of yourself lol 😂😂

I too have an S23 (Ultra) and not facing any of the issues you're mentioning so this is most likely a conflict between apps and the device..... a factory data reset may be an option but you are right in that you'll still be on One UI7.

I still have the issue even in Safe Mode, so it has nothing to do with 3rd party apps, even after clearing the cache partition.

So I tried this and it seemed to be working until today, while I was surfing the web in Google Chrome my phone just froze and I performed a forced restart.

There is something wrong with the update and I don't see a fix for it in near future.

I don't know what is causing this and I don't believe if even Samsung dev team is aware of this issue at all.

Once again I won't buy a Samsung phone again until they do something about their faulty updates.

This is a complete joke, so far 8 days, my s23 become garbage, I had to buy a new phone, right after the oneUI 7 update, app conflict is not an excuse, all my apps come from play store, so this is not an excuse. I'm suing Samsung in Brazil and people should do the same. The workaround is just for power users, and I feel terrible to see a workaround like that.
