I submitted an error report but decided to phone for support. I spoke to a very helpful man who spent ages helping me. Eventually he did a factory reset. It has sorted the problem...I didn't get his name but he is a credit to Samsung. All I know is he lives in North Wales. Wish I could let him know that it worked!! Thank you.

The very last resort is to back up and factory reset to help with troubleshooting.
