@sarasphotobox: If you're seeing a 'refining picture' notification after you capture an image in the camera app, and you are taking high definition pictures, then this is normal, and is simply the phone's way of communicating that it is processing and saving the image.

Even on the lowest-definition pictures, I get this as well. It looks like a horribly cheap and outdated filter has been put on my photos. It is making me hate the camera.

No it's not. When you currently take a picture in expert raw, the s23 ultra will save it, and after a few seconds it applies a horrible filter to it. There is not even an option for scene optimized in expert raw.

Having same problem newly bought s23+ images caputred at 50mp destroyed by refining, totally different than reality and too NOISE than...
Cannot to turn off tried everything but loading spinner is there and doing troubles, this should be DISABLED by default. This just making good cameras hardware to became bad!
p.s. in pro mode captured photos looks too dark on shadows etc..its hard to set it for normal capturing... anyway this refining should be removed from normal photo mode totally.
