Problems with new phone - Can't receive texts or calls to my new phone after switching to Sky and keeping my old number

Recently signed up to Sky mobile and chose to keep my old number. Went through all the correct channels but 2 days on and I still can't receive texts or calls to my new phone even though the number is showing as the correct one. Called Sky for help and they just say to be patient!!! I cannot sign in to many of my financial apps on the new phone until I have text service.

Can anyone help please?

Try a phone restart, which sorts a lot of problems that switching your phone off and on doesn't.
However it may be down to sky registering your new sim and porting your old number. This can sometimes take a little while.

I've tried the restart but no joy. I guess I'll just have to try the patience thing.........not one of my virtues!

Have you got sky mobile setting as in app etc correct ?

Worth checking.

Also you could just reset your network settings as see if it helps the cause.
