open attached documents

Help, I had remote access with Samsung for a different issue a couple weeks ago. They had me do a soft reset and still did not resolve that issue.

Since the soft reset when downloading/opening attached documents, the only 2 options that show are Samsung health and Google wallet. I have no clue how that happened. I can not figure out how to get my s23 to give we the options that used to come up, word, pdf, Google, ect.

Being a foster carer I have lots come through I need to be able to open.

well, that's a strange one! Try clearing the apps cache and data.
Settings>apps, tap on the yahoo mail app. Tap storage. Clear data and cache (bottom of screen).

Can you also check the 'set as default' option is set to 'in app'

Failing that, the nuclear option is to reset back to factory default. But it depends how badly you want it to work again, and there's no guarantee it will fix it.
Can't think of anything else to try, sorry. Heaven knows what the Samsung tech did!

well, cleated cache & data, set as default is set to in the app, restarted with no luck. no chance am I doing a reset. until I can get it figured out, any attachments I'll forward to my Gmail. lol.

you're probably right. I think what frustrates me most is support trying to simply reset a notification sound which they didn't resolve and now I'm having silly things like this

Don't suppose you have another Samsung phone or tablet you could compare settings with?

no unfortunately I wasn't. anything that has came to my ymail I'm having to forward to my Gmail

I have the same issue. It's only affecting the attachments on what's app.

I can not seem to reverse this to get the option to open attachments in another format.

It doesn't even give me another option it only attempts to open on a wallet.
