One UI 7 App Finder Placement

The search bar/finder in the app drawer is placed at the bottom which is a good idea. Kudos to Samsung for actually making a change that improves one handed usage. 

But on the other hand, by still displaying the results top to bottom i.e., most relevant (apps) at the top of the display, shows how much of a lazy work this team has done. Any fundamental UX design would couple the search bar and results together. 

That is, if the search bar is moved to the bottom so should the results order. Keeping them at the top of the window like it used to be just disrupts UX flow and totally un-does one handed usage improvements. 

When would Samsung even start considering UX to be a factor in development?

It was Google that wanted the search bar at the bottom when they developed Andriod 15 and Ui 7, was not down to Samsung.

The problem isn't about search bar being at the bottom. In fact that was a good move. But the results weren't also moved to the bottom coupling them with the search bar and instead they did the bare minimum without considering how it'll break UX continuity.

Also, there are a lot of other OS Skins running on Android 15 with the search bar at the top, so I don't think it's Google's requirement.

You want the results shown most relevantly right above the keyboard—and less relevant upwards? personally, I would hate that so much

Not above the keyboard, but above the search bar. –
Top to down being:
• Less relevant web searches,
• Relevant app/files results,
• Search bar,
• Keyboard.

If you're a developer and have decided to move the search bar to the bottom to enhance one handed user experience, it is a no-brainer to flip the order of results too. That's how unmindful the devs have been.
