One UI 6 Issues

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed any negative issues since the One UI 6 update?

Main changes I have noticed as follows, I'll update as and when I come across any more

Battery

Battery drains much quicker

Fast charge has stopped working on non Samsung chargers

Browsing

Getting a lot of errors loading webpages or blank pages and some dead links in pages. My default was Chrome so I changed it to Samsung Internet but no improvement

Networking

My signal strength seems lower and the phone has more issues connecting to certain Bluetooth devices e.g sumup card reader etc ad-hoc i.e occasionally it's ok

I've noticed maintaining network connections as an issue a while ago even on the S22u but lower network strength is recent as the signal was always stronger on the S23u compared to others

I've given up on the NFC with my sumup app i.e scanning the card on the phone instead of the card reader. This was a really useful feature and worked flawlessly for a while but since a few updates is very rarely successful and returns errors reading card which gets embarrassing when stood with a client also with the S23u you need to reconnect the card reader quite frequently as the phone stops finding the reader. This never happened with the A54 5g I was running side by side with the S23u with the same software set up and reinforces suspicions around the S23u network connection consistency

Notifications

I did have a period of notifications just disappearing when you click to read them but been ok for a while

Apps

I have noticed apps sometimes close unexpectedly when changing focus to another app but not all apps e.g happens a lot when in settings but other apps seem to be ok

I've noticed a lot more apps continue running in background after they have been closed. It used to be one or two and since the update it seems to average 5 or 6

Camera

When editing photos (Cropping) there is an irritating delay between adjustments which if you don't wait between adjustments causes you to move the image and have to start over, really irritating 

There are probably other little niddles I haven't noticed yet or forgot as I'm often out and about when I notice.

I've already done the cache wipe, reset networks etc

I recently got an A54 5g to try out for a work phone which seems to out perform my S23u on the basic stuff such as maintaining network and connecting to devices etc, which suggests to me that the extra functions and components in high end phones may cause additional challenges

I personally think the update process itself causes issues. I say this because whenever I get a new phone or do a factory reset regardless as to the software version the phones usually run like a dream and the glitches only tend to start as the OS or certain apps update. I wonder if the bug testers are testing updates on fresh installs only so may be missing some updating errors/glitches

I certainly don't intend doing a factory reset and fresh app installs after every OS update, that would be a nightmare as it's a major undertaking

I am the same, constantly restarting and clearing the cache.

If you press the home button in the middle it minimises your open apps but doesn't close them and takes you to home screen where you can then swipe up for your app screen and open more apps. You just use the 3 lines on the left to switch between different open apps. Hope this helps

Ui 6 update I now can't access my santander mobile banking.
Tried numerous times but just sats something went wrong.
It's working on laptop so must be phone.
All fine before update

I would try clearing the cache in your banking app, then uninstall and reinstall the app this can rule out a bug in the app

Updated to one ui 6 and my wifi and bluetooth no longer work. Also many features and settings with my phone are working improper or not at all. Did every troubleshooting option including a factory reset which didnt fix the issue. Now forced to go to a service centre or not have bluetooth or wifi. I wont be buying samsung again. They fail to admit thr mistakes thr latest update has made across many different devices and im sick of it. Im running a zfold 4 512g. Not a cheap device, 2 months off warranty and im counting the days tell i can get out of it for a cheap price at this point.

The problems with network connectivity have been a problem for me since the S22u and S23u. I'm not sure if it's a hardware or software issue. When I first got the S22 the signal strength was outstanding but after a while it began dropping connections such as calls, Mobile data, Bluetooth, WiFi and NFC on an ad hoc basis. I put it down to background activity or difficulty reconnecting after a signal drop etc e.g pressing play again or restarting the offending app fixed the problem. It can be helpful to reset 5he network settings only as that improved mine. I'm hoping the S24 will be better for maintaining a stable connection which has been missing for a while in high end models

• Well I dont know if this issue comes from this new One UI Version , but I lost many photos , videos and documents on my sd card after I turned off and on my A24.
• I also esperienced that my battery drains much quicker. I also agree that Bluetooth devices have some trouble to connect to my phone

I was having issues with droppes calls te precious uodate but i really didnt consider it because i live kind of rural but makes sense more now. Im finding that alot of features and stuff are now really starting to lag, and some dknt even work, such as settibg my apps up with the home and apps option, it disables my front screen, i have it have it set to all apps which just created a huge mess. Regardless the fact that ive had the phone for 14 months now, 2 past warranty and i have all these issues. Very unimpressed.

Hi i am a samsung user and i updated to one ui 6 just this morning. Before the update i was using the gestures to navigate precisely the one with the hint in the middle and to go back swipe from either side of the screen. But after the update back seems to be working fine but the home and the recents gesture just doesn't work. The hint gesture bar is shown but its not working. And since its in my habit i have to use the gesture. Please help.
