One UI 6.1 AOD - NO COLORS

Dear Samsung!

The 6.1 update ruined the AOD for everyone, there was a missing brightness setting and the colors are disappeared. I would like to ask you to restore the possibility of the customizations. If you remove features from time to time nobody will feel the urge to upgrade their Samsung phones anymore.

The previous AOD was beautiful, the font size was big enough to read even the battery percentage, the notification icons were colorful and there was more space between the clock and the notifications, it was obvious at the first glance if there were notifications or not.

Now the font size is smaller, everything is white, the notification icons are almost unreadably small and they are too close to the clock. I would like to see colors on the AOD (this is why I bought amoled) notifications just as before: red for gmail, blue for telegram, green for missed calls, etc...

Outsourcing the AOD options to a different application (good lock) was a bad idea in my opinion, but removing features is even worse.

Thank you in advance!

I can't adjust the color with this solution but I can adjust the brightness with good-lock

Verizon S22 Ultra.

I'm right there with you. It's trash now. I updated to 6.1 last night, and have lost a METRIC TON of customization options. If you click on the newly (unnecessarily) renamed setting "Lock screen and AOD", it's been completely gutted. There's no option for "Clock Style". There's nothing for the lock screen at all, actually. And there's only like two options for the Always-On Display. No brightness control. No font or color options. Nothing. All that's left are the settings for when you want the thing to actually turn on and whether you want your music information to be shown.... ={ And this is not to mention that with every update, they make the font smaller and smaller on the AOD battery percentage, date, etc. They also took away the multicolored icons for your notifications. Actually, most of the lock screen stuff you now have to accomplish by setting a background through the stock Gallery app OR going into "Wallpaper and Style". I mean, what am I? A 12-year-old girl, *****!? And I AM aware that I can go through the annoying, time-consuming trouble of downloading that stupid Good Lock app through the Galaxy Store, then download the "NavStar", "LockStar", "ClockStar", etc. modules—each of them 150 MB or more, by the way—just to get it all back to a similar design as it was before this worthless FORCED update. This is so effing LAME!!! But hey, at least they got rid of that ugly yellowish/brownish/grayish color of the notifications in the Notification Panel. They're translucent black now....so that's nice.....  😐

I'm getting EXTREMELY tired of Samsung constantly raising the prices on their mid–upper tier devices (nearly) every year by at least $50 to $100, while simultaneously removing more and more basic features and functions with each subsequent release—all in the name of streamlining their devices to make them as similar to the competition as they can legally get them, and also as simple for morons to use as they can possibly be. I've been using Galaxy devices for a decade and some change. I would REALLY rather not get an iPhone for my next device, but I'm getting hopelessly irritated and disillusioned with this kind of *****. Maybe I'll get a Pixel. They've really been improving these last few years. Yeah, actually that doesn't sound too bad. Certainly preferable to this utter garbage.

Samsung, here in a few months I'm going to get an upgrade through my carrier, and I will not be returning to the world of Galaxy. It's your own fault for actively driving your customers away, DA!

You are 100% correct, I think the majority of Samsung owners feel the same nowadays. I will get rid of Samsung and buy a Pixel too.

Well then, I wish us BOTH better luck in the future. It really is a shame to leave after all these years, but these soulless companies seem to have ZERO loyalty and/or sense of obligation whatsoever to provide a better experience for their paying customers. All the same, I do hope that either these issues get resolved OR we all find a nice happy home with some other OEM/software provider.

Cheers.

After paying almost 2k for this phone because of the features i loved in my last samsung... they take them away. ZERO loyalty. Its beyong my understanding how they made a decision to take options and features away. If anything add new features, not take them away. How and who on earth made these decisions that effect millions of people is beyond me.

The last update yesterday has allowed some colors to come thru.  The little caesars notification on my AOD is orange so it must be able to get colors, but for some reason my text icons that used to be color are still all white.
