Similar happened on the Samsung Galaxy s²⁴ Ultra when I bought it which confused alot of people.
The settings to allow one to set up a tone for an individual app needed to be turned On.
I have no idea why Samsung went this route.
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
