Hello

Lost data mobile on my S23 Ultra. Dual sim, all used to always work, SIMs work fine on different phone. I tried:

-restarting phone

-Disabling both SIM, restarting phone

-Removing SIMs, put back

-reseting mobile network settings

-there is good coverage, hell, it has always worked

-reset APN settings

-Data roaming is ON

-Flight mode ON/OFF

-Latest software update

-tried 3G instead of 5G

etc etc, Please help.

Thank you

Hi, and welcome to the UK users community.

Can you try hard resetting the device

With the device powered up, Hold the Volume down button and Power button simultaneously for 10 seconds. The screen will go off. Continue to hold buttons until the device vibrates and the Samsung logo appears. Release buttons. Device will reboot. Once done, please check if the issue is resolved.

Can you also confirm where you are based and if your handset is a UK model?

Lots of dual SIM phones dont allow connection on both sims . If one sim is using call service, the other cannot use data service.. This only works on the same sim if you want to use data and voice simultaneously.

The most common reasons your mobile data may not be working on a new Samsung Galaxy S23 are:

  1. SIM card not properly installed: Ensure the SIM card is fully inserted into the SIM tray and seated correctly. Power off the device, remove the SIM tray, and reinsert the SIM card.
  2. Incorrect APN settings: The Access Point Name (APN) settings need to be configured properly for your cellular network. Check with your mobile carrier for the correct APN settings and manually enter them.
  3. Network settings issues: There may be a problem with the network settings on your new device. Try resetting the network settings by going to Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset network settings.
  4. Carrier account/plan issues: Verify that your cellular plan with your carrier supports data usage and is active. There may be an issue with your account or plan that is preventing the mobile data from working.
  5. Software/OS issues: Ensure your Galaxy S23 is running the latest software version. Go to Settings > Software update and install any available updates.

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, you may need to contact your mobile carrier for further assistance in troubleshooting the mobile data problem on your new Samsung Galaxy S23.

Hello AliceHirvela.

Thank you for your reply. However the solutions you are suggeating have already been tried had you actually read my original message....

This is a new problem. I have been running with the exact same 2 SIM since I bought the phone when it first came out in February 2023.

Please, for the whole community, try to read message first before replying with a template.

Dear Robin.

Thank you for the tip. It did the trick. Bloody technology.

FYI. Handset was bought in Dubai. SIM cards are UK vodaphone and UAE Virgin Mobile
