Mobile Data is not working after the recent update.

Hey Guys,

I am using S23 Ultra, everything was going smooth until I did the October 2024 security patch update. After which, the mobile data has begun not to work properly. It is showing me 4G+ sign on top as usual, and if I connect my phone to my laptop via mobile hotspot, my laptop gets to access internet and do stuff. It is just WhatsApp that is working fine on my phone where I am getting messages and being able to send messages and do video calls as well, rest all apps are not working at all, not even Google.

Can somebody give me a solution?

I live in Costa Rica, so use my Samsung phone on the mobile networks here. The phone was able to find the networks, but unable to use them. My guess it was a security issue. I didn't make any changes to my phone, although I tried ideas that I found online. 

Today, it works, so perhaps the issue has been resolved here. I don't know, really. Just glad it works, lol. 

I do need a phone that is reliable here, though, so am considering switching to Google Pixel. Hate to do it because I've had Samsung for many years and have always liked it.

Welcome to the club. Thousands of us have the same problem I have an s23 ultra that I bought about 8 months ago and it must have been in the package for a long long time because when I turned it on and got it programmed it started downloading all kinds of security patches and V6 and V7 or V6 and V5 I think and that's when I lost everything as far as communicating The only thing that worked was when it was hooked to my Wi-Fi in my house or anytime I went to a Wi-Fi no mobile network at all it would even display 4G and 5G sometimes. I tried every reasonable fix except for a fresh start but so many people on here have done that and it didn't help them The funny thing is I've made about three posts so far Samsung will not recognize this as a problem but there is a class action lawsuit being launched. I had one friend with the same problem and he was able to roll back the update you need like a astrophysics degree to do it lol and it worked fine but it keeps trying to get him to download the next update again which will screw him m up he just got rid of it.

As I'm writing this now I'm down in Marathon at my brother's resort doing some work in Florida I have full 5G service all day long so far I even tried to go to airplane mode to get rid of it but it comes right back for some reason it's working fine I had the same experience when I flew up to New York last month and North Carolina the month before temporarily worked but when I get back to Boca Raton Florida even Miami or fort Lauderdale doesn't work. I have a feeling the update software somehow is interfering with the antenna on the phone

I hope it's not a coincidence My phone started working yesterday for the first time I have 4G and 5G all the time but I'm down in Marathon Florida in the keys. It never worked 90 miles north in Boca Raton or even in Miami or fort Lauderdale I was traveling to New York and North Carolina 6 weeks ago didn't work there either only worked on Wi-Fi 

But it's strange you see You are just working today and so is mine actually yesterday maybe they fixed it?
