Hoping someone can help me here.

Just got a new s23 and going through the hell of setting it up and getting all my apps working today.

An image I had as my wallpaper on my last two phones came across as expected during the smart things transfer. However I tested out another wallpaper and now can't get the old one back. It's not in any of my photos in the gallery any more so where the hell is it stored please??

It is still on my old s21 as the wallpaper but again doesn't seem to be in any of the galleries to select. So at least if its gone off my s23 I can maybe get to it on old phone and send across?

Grateful for any steer. Cheers!

Use files app or something like file explorer and check in the pictures folder.
It might also not be copied across

Tried that. No joy. Think my best bet is to find it on old one and send it across. But again no idea where it is!

If it wasn't an image you used from you gallery. Check in galaxy themes, press the 3 lines at bottom and go to purchases. See if it's a wallpaper you have downloaded from themes. If you had it on your last 2 previous phones it maybe an old default wallpaper. Which means use smartswitch again to transfer home screen. Or maybe you have a back up you could restore your old homescreen layout to get the wallpaper back.

Yes it was a photo I took some time ago probably two phones ago! If I do smart switch again will it not try and transfer everything again?? Can't believe the image isn't there somewhere to get to. Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can choose what you want to transfer only.

Thanks. It worked but stupidly you can only restore home screen if you restore apps aswell so going to have to put several apps back on that weren't on the backup. Just midway through doing that now. Still baffled with why you can't get hold of the image wherever it may be located on the phone! Thanks again

I've transferred everfrom my S12 to my S24 Ultra. The desktop image, which is a photo of mine, transferred but I also want that as my background image when my phone is locked. Where is my image located so that I can configure my phones lockscreen to use it?
