Green dot

After update of UI. There is green dot on top left of corner which also appears on YouTube. How can i turn it off?

I have a green dot on the top right of my screen.
This is to indicate that an app is using the microphone or camera
This is a Google feature and can't turn it off
If it's anything else. Take a picture and show us what you have showing

It can be turned off. You just deny the app permission to use microphone and camera.

Now it start appearing on video full screen as well.

Previously it doesn't appear in full screen videos but now it does.

Well yes in that respect you can.
But not much good if you need the camera for the app, or the microphone.

Exactly. I dont have issue with green dot in normal operation. But when i open a video, it does bother me.

And its because of new update i guess.

Because it wasn't there before. It recently start appearing

Yeah well if indeed they are using the camera and mic to make Shorts then at least they know by the green dot that the camera and mic are in use.

Trouble is that some apps will have permissions to use the camera or microphone, when there's no reason for the permissions.
Some apps can be very covert with them, so Google have added this as a security feature.
So for those apps you can remove those permissions or delete the app
