Hi all,

My Google Play Systems updates are stuck on September since I updated to OneUI 6... Tried deleting the cache of Google play services - but that didn't help....

Anyone else having this problem?

According to Samsung support they will push an update to fix it

I don't know where you got this wrong information.

Google Paly aka Google Play Service security updates are released every month. There is an official bulletin with the specifications of the month of release.

The problem of failure to update can be attributed to the manufacturer of the device, in this case Samsung. These updates cannot be released via OTA without a compatibility check with the changes made by each manufacturer.

In this specific case, there are S23 users with Android 14 who have updates blocked at different months. My S23U is stuck in July, others with the same setup are stuck in November or October.

      How do you explain it?

      It's not wrong information.
Non of my non Samsung Android phones get regular monthly updates for Google Play System Updates. Sometimes they do but others they don't.
It's well documented now that there's an issue with the latest OS software and Googles Play update software.
Apparently an update will be out shortly

      @pagagagamate

Thanks for the tip. I fear that if we don't speak up it will take a long time for Samsung to act.
For us users it means having a device with fewer features and less security.

I repeat, Google releases updates on a monthly basis. Can you deny this fact?

If you don't receive them it's Samsung's fault.

I have Xiaomi, Sony etc phones. As I said non Samsung phones.
All I can say is they all don't get updates monthly. Google may produce updates monthly, but clearly not for every manufacturer

It is not my intention or interest to make a ranking of the most virtuous producers.

As a Samsung customer who often has a considerable sum for an S23U 12/512, I am only interested in ensuring that the device works at its best, a condition that cannot be guaranteed without the Google Play Services security update.

Have you ever read the Google Play Services monthly release bulletins?
Updates are released for the Android system, not for individual devices.
