Gallery - Add portrait effect - Animals

This feature used to work with animals but since the June update it doesn't recognise animal faces anymore.

I used this a lot so I miss it.

Thanks for pointing this out, I noticed it got bad and it doesn't work on my pets either. Even a human face not looking straight on is hit and miss.

I tried downgrading Gallery but it didn't fix it 😞

I'm disappointed because samsung specifically advertised the phone with super pet portrait photography. I contacted the service center, who, seeing the pictures taken by the phone, said that this is not normal, that I should do a factory reset. It didn't solve the problem. If I could, I would switch back to an earlier version of Android. 😕 Until I read your comments, I thought my phone was faulty and I should take it in for service, but now I see that unfortunately it would be unnecessary. :/ It was quietly messed up.
