Have you spoken with your mobile network Customer Services @Mike 1952 ? It maybe your account or sim card at issue.
As a process of elimination try your sim card in another phone and then see what happens if you have access to another phone.
If your able to try another network's sim card in your own phone.
Vodafone have a network checker here to check masts > Vodafone > Network-issues-initial-checks-and-template.
This will help to determine whether it's a sim card issue , network account issue or a mast issue.
You can also use this _ Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Connection.
