No longer possible to change to static ip on an ethernet adapter. The save is grayed out even when ethernet button is switched off. Did anybody find a way around?

There is - you have to turn off ethernet connection first simply by tapping on ethernet connection and than go to configuration section and change ip to static and save.

Same for me. The option is grayed out. If I connect an ethernet adapter it's active. Then when I go to set static IP it says "disconnect ether net to save"
If I disconnect the menu closes and grayed out again. If I try and toggle the button it just does not work and reconnects.
I tried this with 2 adapters, with no ethernet plugged into the adapter, same story. Just plain does not work and works on an iphone.
Fix it already.

You need to fill all settings however garbage they are. DNS as well as Gateway. Only then the save comes to life and works. I just put DNS and Default gateway as my local partner device I wanted to connect and all good.

SOLVED
Hello friends, let me introduce myself, I'm from Indonesia,
I found the solution, first make sure the USB Type C to RJ45 is connected to the cellphone,
And make sure everything is connected to the router as it should be
At the top of the ethernet settings menu it says "ETHERNET connected"
Slide the switch to deactivate
After that you can set a static IP with a working save button
After that, you can press the top button to reactivate it
Sorry, I forgot to change the English language settings on my phone
Thank You
