I just got a Galaxy S23, upgrading from a very old Galaxy S8 that has served me well for a long time,
I had everything transfered over and then updated all apps ect,
But when i try to set up Samsung email, despite entering all the correct info fro the virgin media website, it continually checks the incoming server, then eventually tells me
""Couldn't verify account, imap.virginmedia.com isn't responding. You can continue the setup process, but won't be able to send or receive emails until your account has been verified""
I tried auto and manual
Uninstalled and reinstalled

Hi @Brian510
I sometimes have this with my Samsung email app too.
Occasionally I'm told my password us incorrect.
I typically delete the email account from my phone then reboot the phone and then relaunch the app and enter the email account and then again reboot the phone which usually pushes the account to work.
Gremlins in the machine !

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Thanks for the reply, That would make sense, but as always Virgin media tell you there are no service issues, Never even thought to check with Downdetector, I do know they were carrying out "essential maintenance" on the email system overnight the other day, but they said it had been completed and all was well with the world, this was after the servers had a major meltdown last week.
I am still getting my Emails on my PC as usual, and on the Virgin Email web page, but not on my phone.
Hopefully you are spot on and it will sort itself out in the next day or so, fingers crossed. and thank you.

Thanks Keith, I naively thought they had fixed that "little issue" with a downed server, Should have known, Virgin Media don't have little issues, just big ones that us mere paying customers don't need to know about.😁

Just to update on this , It would appear that it was indeed a Virgin Media problem, I had managed to get my emails on my S23 by logging in to my Virgin Email account on their website on my phone, then the other day, I noticed I had a load of spam emails, emails that i had already reported and logged as spam, so I started going through them, reporting, and sending them all to the spam folder one at a time, then while I was actually doing this, the web page shut down on me, and would not let me back in, I then received an email from Virgin telling me that there was "suspicious activity" on my email account, and that I had now been locked out and would have to change all my Virgin Passwords, I did this, and hey presto my Samsung Email app is now working, but I also have every single email that I had logged as spam, and every genuine email from the last month or more that I had already deleted now in my inbox.
