I'm convinced they roll out updates to kill batteries so you buy the new phone that's coming out. It happens every time. An update just came out last week and my battery is not even lasting 8hrs at work when it lasted all day before.

Hello 👋 @Jdperformance

In my opinion that's a common misconception.

For a manufacturer to intentionally damage their brand isn't good business sense.

Sometimes a phone needs its System Partition Cache Files Section clearing.

Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Similar to @BandOfBrothers comment above.

Lithium batteries do start to weaken over time and it is important to also remember that each update can bring new functionality that requires ever more juice 😊
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Yes, but the next day after an update right after they launch a new phone the battery drops like crazy. No other changes to the phones and its happened with the last 3 Samsungs I've has as well as 8-10 Motorola's I've owned. It's not like they are bricking the phone, just making it die quicker so you'll look into getting a new phone.

Hardly. My S21 Ultra, even today can nearly rival my S25 Ultra in longevity if using for just light media and browsing tasks.

But then again I have noticed as time goes on phones performance does slow down sure could be down to the amount of backgrounds processes new software demands but how else do they convince folks to buy new phone every few years? Lol

I 100% agree. My A23 (not even 6 months old) went from 2 days of battery life, to 4 hours. We need to get a Class Action Law Suit against this thievery and make them accountable
