After Update to One UI 6 I cannot join videos in 4K UHD. I was able to do this previously in ONE UI 5. Now Samsung have replaced the video editor with an "upgraded" studio app which downgrades a 4KUHD video to just 1080p if you want to join the videos.

This is a serious downgrade to my S23 Ultra and guess what Samsung does not allow to go back to One UI 5.

Need help with this urgently.

That is not good @shaneahmed, and I hope it gets sorted in an update. I have always used Androvid Pro to join HEVC 4k 60 videos, and even here they recently lost the ability to join such videos together without downscaling to 1080p. I complained to the app developers, alongside many others, and the ability to join 4K 60 videos was re-enabled in the app, albeit not in the HEVC format for whatever reason. What I have had to do is prevent an old version of the app on my old Note 9 spare device from updating to the current one so I can use it for joining all my HEVC 4K 60 videos together. I don't understand why this video editing task seems to be getting harder to achieve nowadays?. Have you let Samsung know about your problem via this app in the support section at the bottom right of the screen on your home page?. You will get a reply off them for sure.

I tried to contact Samsung customer support immediately and no surprise the customer services person knew less about how to use a Samsung device than I did. He/she/they were asking irrelevant questions and providing irrelevant solutions. I tried those anyway but of course the solution didn't work.
I was very specific how can I revert and go back to old editor but they had no solution.
Finally, I did the same as you i.e., moved all videos to my Tab and then joined in 4K. I hope they fix it soon otherwise why do I need to invest in an expensive S23 Ultra. I can use a cheap smartphone to shoot 1080p videos.

Joining 4K 60 videos should be a relatively basic task on modern video editing apps in 2023. I don't understand why it seems to be hard to find an app to do it with ease at the moment?. I hope you do get satisfaction for yourself with this problem, as it got me a little frustrated when I was having problems I must admit, and took the pleasure out of video recording somewhat. Good luck to you @shaneahmed. 👍

It's not a difficult task, it's just that they (most companies) are getting greedy to sell apps. Keeping 1080p for free and 4K for premium. I mean if I can join 4K video on a two years old Tab, why should it be a problem with the latest flagship? It just that they don't care.
