Recent update on my S23 plus and now the camera fails to open. Literally tried every troubleshooting options available including a full factory reset. Nothing's worked😭 Has this happened to anyone else and did it fixed quickly? Need my phone/camera for a weekend away.

I am not experiencing this on my Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra @Kirsty05

I appreciate you've tried quite a few troubleshooting steps.

Can you also try > Long hold on the Camers app icon > Tap on i and then storage followed by clear cache.

Ensure you have ample internal storage.

And try https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/

There us a diagnostic tool found in the Samsung Members App.

Feedback can be left via the Samsung Members App.

Ultimately a Samsung Service Centre can assess the phone.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

@Kirsty05  Just some other advice.  check the Diagnostics to see if any errors are identified. Go to Samsung Members-Support-Diagnostics- you may need to send Error Report: Samsung Members-Support-Send Feedback-Camera, ensure system logs are enclosed.  Have you checked your permissions to see all is ok there/ Apps-Camera-Permissions.

An idea also to clear the cache partition , temporary files are deleted but your Data is intact.
1. Turn off the device.
2. Connect To Computer , other Device or TV USB, Press and hold the Volume Up key and then press and hold the Power key
3. When the Android logo displays, release both keys.
4. Wait until the Android system recovery menu options appear.
5. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight wipe cache partition.
6. Press Power key to select.
7. Press the Volume down key to highlight yes, them and press the Power key to select.
8. When the wipe cache partition is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted.
9. Press the Power key to restart the device.

As mentioned though you may need to visit a service centre.
