I'm using battery protect as i want my device battery to last longer than the average 2 years. But I've noticed that using battery protect im charging my device twice a day rather than once. It's charging from 20% to 85% twice a day better for the battery than charging one a day 0% to 100%? Thank you in advance.

It's best to not go below 20% ideally
Personally I'd prefer to slow charge and only use faster charging when I have to

In all honesty, I think charging once a day is more than enough. The battery on my S23 Ultra lasts really well. I don't use any battery saving features at all.
For me I paid a lot for the phone, and it's got amazing power that I don't want to restrict

Generally the batteries on my phones that I keep longer, perform really well after two years

Really it's how you feel comfortable with using your phone

This article helps to understand a bit more about lithium batteries. I am in agreement that we paid a lot for a phone so I would aim to get the best use of the phone. I tend to try to avoid dropping below 20% charge and below 100% but I don't worry too much if it goes too 100% or should it fall below 20% from time to time and I may go long periods without a charge or pop it on charge here and there during the day. My biggest worry would be the phone going flat when I needed to use it. I have a phone holder/charger in the car which doesn't charge very quickly but it is for when I'm using the sat nav and streaming radio, which can use up a battery quickly. Hope the link is helpful. https://www.gearpatrol.com/tech/a624169/smartphone-lithium-ion-charging-tips/#:~:text=For%20optimize....

Which Samsung Galaxy s²³ series of phone are you using may I ask as the battery capacities are different ?

Personally I've always changed from 15% to 100% and not seen any noticeable degradation @Kirstyl0u

Don't let it drop to 0% as this can affect the battery.

If your having to change twice then it does appear that charging to 85% isn't enough.

Have a look in your Battery and Device Care section under battery to see what's using your battery.

Same here, I've never, ever had any noticeable degradation. I have an old Tab S2 still working well.

personally I think it is best to only charge once a day and if cannot manage with 85% charge Battery Protect does not seem to be particularly beneficial.  Besides would need to ensure you have access to some type of charger when out and about. Certainly do not let the charge drop much below 20% and charge tends to drop fairly rapidly once it reaches  10%.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

I had my s8 nearly 7 years, and the battery is the only thing that failed it in the end. That's why I had to get this phone. I actually hate getting a new phone so just want this to last as long as physically possible.

That phone did really well
You should be fine.
Battery management is much better and more efficient now.
Just use it as normal really.
That's why I try not to use fast charging. Just easier on the battery, as it won't heat up the battery too much during charging
