So after the recent update to my Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, the Contact Storage app has started to drain the battery excessively. Ironically, there is no way to stop this app, and there are no settings that allow you to restrict its battery consumption or put it into deep sleep mode. As a result, it continuously drains the battery. Before this update, a full charge would last me more than a day, but now I have to charge my phone twice a day just because of this Contact Storage app. I have tried all the solutions suggested in this community to address this issue, but nothing has worked. I hope Samsung will fix this problem in the next update, but I don't know when that will be. Maybe it will come with Android 15 or before they update One UI to version 6.1.1 or something similar.

So will your Google contacts still sync after that?

Howwww? 🙄

Many say it is because of dual whatsapp. I followed an advice from Reddit. I went to permissions and disabled the contacts permission for dual whatsapp. Now it shows numbers only. But this resolved the contacts storage battery issue.
