Barclays Bank App Crashing

Anyone here with the UK 🇬🇧 Barclays banking app? 

 
Ever since the Samsung march security update, the bloody Barclays app crashes constantly. 
 
So much so that device care detects it and prompts for deep sleep, which when in deep sleep prevents the Barclays contactless payments! 
 
I reached out to the app team and got a bulls**t generic response of "have you rebooted your device and is it running the latest version etc"

Clear your phones cache partition. Should do it after every security update.
1. Switch off phone
2. Connect to PC via USB lead
3. Power back on by holding power button whilst simultaneously holding volume down.
4. After a few seconds a menu list should appear. Use volume keys to select clear cache partition.
5. Use power button to confirm choice.
6. After the partition is wiped choose reboot.

Hopefully this will sort things out.

Hmmm this sounds like old skool advice for app issues a decade or so ago!

No other apps have been effected, so will wait for an app update from Barclays to see if they resolve

Instead of clearing the phone's System Partition Section Cache Files if you don't want to do that have you tried clearing the individual apps cache and if absolutely necessary Clear Data too.

Wish I could but I can't even use earphones as I am deaf in one ear and also suffer from tintis due to a ear surgery which made matters worse.

I used to use barclays and the app and it would offer suffer what you are describing, the only thing to do was to wait for a app update or uninstall and reinstall it again.

No worries. Wasn't sure if you were desperate to get it sorted considering it was your bank. There's no guarantee it would of worked anyway so hopefully Barclays will issue an update that will.
