The August security patch

Just passing curiosity as to why it is available elsewhere but not the UK with only 4 days left 

Also the oneUI 6 beta apparently being available in the UK but no one recieving it 

Any news about it?

Didn't Samsung make this app to provide more communication to us? 

All I've seen so far is more and more advertising banners appear

I been wondering the same. Honestly I'm just slowly giving up on Samsung now. Wouldn't mind if they bothered to communicate with us once in a while

Each region has its own software and so the UK and EU version likely to be in testing.

I would rather wait until testing complete instead of having a rushed update that breaks things.

Why people get so narky over this I really do not know lol

It's called an "August" update so obviously I'm curious as to why we're getting it in September *shrug*

Silly comment 'Narky' when you pay for something, and part of the package is monthly Android security patches, you expect a supplier to honor the obligation. Samsung are amateur in there behaviour, poor communication and attempting to compete with Apple they show their short comings.. I would not recommend a Samsung device to anyone, expensive and support is very poor

To be honest in my experience you can't compare samsung with apple. Apple updates are ontime always. However they are nearly always buggy and I mean serious bugs. Samsung updates are nearly always late, however they are always stable this has what I have found and I have been an apple owner my last phone being a 14 pro max. Only reason I'm here is because of apple software. Although I must say I'm very impressed with my s23 ultra and its software. Better late and well built. This is just my opinion though and what I have personally found.

As a software developer who works both with Apple and android, both are equally buggy, however Apple is far quicker to release updates if significant impact to users, Androids short fall is the interference of companies like Samsung who add bloat to a great android experience. See Google devices fir a truly clean and far better Android experience. So to delay the security patch release which was available early August to add bloat updates is wrong and Samsung should separate device updates and patches. Equally having stupid numbers of regional variables adds to a slow and cumbersome roll out
