I just updated on a Samsung Galaxy S23 plus.

Several functions are no longer working.

Whenever i attach an external monitor with DEX the UI8 crashes continuously.

When i  connect my mobile to my PC, i can no longer transfer data such I used to. The USB port keeps closing and want to be used for charging only. 

So far very dissatisfied with latest upgrade and hope patches to fix the issue will be rolled out soon.

Wipe phone cache partition
• Power off the device.
•  a USB-C cable to a PC or another device.
• Hold  Up + Side Button until Recovery Menu appears.
• Select Wipe cache partition/ Confirm Reboot system.

It is a security measure. When it connects to pc change it via notification to file transfer

Thank you for your feedback, but i did wipe the cache partition. But the GUI8 keeps crashing when attaching an external monitor. Also the USB keeps falling back the option Charging phone only.

As for the usb thing, one ui 8 added a new security feature. You have to open your notifications, press the usb notification, set it to file transfer mode

did you mean USB settings? Yes I tried that but it falls back to Charging phone only.

Now you know why they've paused the UI 8.0 roll out. The more devices that get it the longer the list of problems gets. It's got more bugs than a Swiss cheese has holes !

My S23 Ultra seems to have major battery drain after ui 8 update. Anyone else with an issue like this?
