Alarm issues

This is a problem that I hoped would resolve upon getting my S23 Ultra, but unfortunately it has not. 

I rely on calls a lot, and my workplace uses WhatsApp as a means to contact one another. However, we all also rely on alarms. Unfortunately, if I am in a call my alarm wil not sound. It is replaced by a very quiet beep noise that only sounds for a couple of seconds.

Most of my colleagues own different phone brands and do not have this issue. Is there way of enabling alarm sounds over WhatsApp? I have tried enabling the "Allow alarm sounds in calls" toggle but this has simply not worked. 

I had the same issue on my S21 Ultra.

Not sure if you have accepted allow alarm sounds on WhatsApp only or within Clock settings too? U need both set to allow.

It's been a while I don't know if you've got it fixed yet. But I'll just share my finding to others after I didn't get my answer here.

You may search 'alarm' in setting then turn off that "silence alarms when system sound is off" (it's so deep in Apps->Clock->Clock settings)

About beep noise I'm not sure if it's about that "allow alarm in calls" and other modifications like "play tone when call connects" in call settings or not ...which I still haven't found how to reach it directly without a search.

This didn't work for me. It still makes the alarm 3 quick little beeps.
