Ultra 22 Storage is in READ ONLY mode - how do I fix this??

Looking for some help!

Suddenly, my phone won't allow any apps to save images as it keeps popping up an error that says:

"Your storage card seems to be read only; please choose another path to save"

It can't be an SD card because the S22 Ultra doesn't have the option for that. So, what is wrong with the internal storage path?

How do I fix this? Help please! :smiling-face:

Have you tried a soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On @keikei19

If you have then can you say what other options you've tried ?

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@keikei19: Please can you try heading to Settings > Apps > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Special Access > All files access, and make sure that 'Media' is toggled on.

I am also getting the same error on S22+. Tried soft reboot, checked apps permissions and settings. Still not working. Very frustrating.

Is it a bug? Or is it related to storage space used? Can someone help?

Hi everyone,

So, I actually just updated a bunch of my apps that were in need of updates (and also had done the latest phone update) and it seemed to have fixed it. ?? I wish I could tell you all a better solution, but that is all I did and it's been back to normal again. I still have no idea why ...?  Have any of you resolved it yet?
