Hi, since the latest update to UI6.1 mid-May, the battery drain has been really bad. I know this issue is reported by others, so hope Samsung gives a fix patch real soon. Thanks

Since 2022 Feb I am using S22, battery backup was fine during 1st year. Then it started decreasing. I had to charge twice a day.

But, just 3 days back 17th May,24 I got a One UI 6.1 update on S22 and since then I've been experiencing a huge change in battery behavior in my S22!

It's terrible! Battery life was not excellent but okay before the update, now - the phone barely survives 6 hours a day, and even if I am not using it I have to charge it up 3 to 4 times a day, it never happened before & if you start google map then done 2-3 hours max.

This has to be related to the update. I hope Samsung will fix this ASAP as this cripples the phone!

If the fix won't happen, and some rumors turn out to be true (Samsung trying to push users to get a new-gen phone) it'll be my last Samsung phone! I've already paid so much money for this model not to just cut my battery life almost in half by a software update just 2 years later!

well, two years worth of charging discharging the battery will have a negative effect on battery life

It's true that most if not all mobile phone manufacturers including Samsung issue an update to cut battery life hopping it will force you to buy the new mobile out. Ihave the S22ultra and have experienced the same as your self after the update, try this, go to your call keypad and key in *#0099# and scroll down to batterystats reset click on it and it will reset your battery. It worked for my S22 ultra so far, best of luck

What's is truer is that battery, any battery, suffers from ever reducing capacity over a period of time (it doesn't even have to be used) . Just the nature of things

Screen on times have not changed before and after, however the frequency of full charge has!

*#0099# causes and error message of "connection problem or invalid MMI code".  Any help is much appreciated as my S22 ultra's battery lasts half a day now.
