One tip for those getting new Phones is make sure you deactivate the security device option from you banking app on old phone before erasing you old phone or transferring data and apps using smartswitch

Setting it back up usually requires calling the bank and going through the whole process of resetting it etc....

Maybe should have posted this a few days ago, oops hope it helps someone

Wise words, I did the same procedure recently with my Banking app from the ones that always used to give extra but no longer bother. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be to be fair to the way the bank have it set up.

The Google Authentication app has a handy feature too. You can generate a QR code on the old device to scan with the new one and download your 2FA accounts again without having to redo them all.

With my banking app the process is easier as long as you still have the previous phone so you can generate a security code via my Banking App to initiate the switch over, and then a qr code is generated which you read via your new phone.

Thankfully the process in my case is easy and secure.

Thank you @-Robot- for sharing your tip. 👍
