SMS Autofill in apps works only with Samsung keyboard

SMS Autofill doesn't work inside apps if I'm not using the Samsung keyboard.

Anybody else has this issue? Every keyboard app should work but this happens only on Samsung phones.

probably for security reasons, although I've only ever used the samsung keyboard so I'm not sure.
