Samsung Gallery issues

Hi y'all

I've noticed an issue with my gallery yesterday, where some apps show the message '' This app can only access the photos you select''.

The issue is that I've already reinstalled the app (Hive social ) as I wanted to upload a game clip  and made sure that all the permissions are active. I can only see pictures, my videos are not being shown even when using the 3 dots > browse > gallery. What can I do to fix this? Other posts don't include the videos not being shown

My video clips are included with my pictures in the Camera folder via the gallery app. It sounds like you may need to ensure that the app you are using is opening the images itself and not just viewing them from the gallery app? I'm not totally familiar with the hive app so sorry I can't help further. It's also worth checking the order of stored images to ensure they are in date order etc as new images can appear elsewhere in the gallery depending on how they are sorted. Hope this helps

Thanks for your reply!The recent pictures/gallery show in the app itself like in the attachment, that's also how I used to add pictures/videos before this. The video itself is at the top but still doesn't show. 

Clicking on "Albums" only shows me the favorites, downloads, camera and screenshots folders.
