So we are nearly at that time for the new s23 series, and I was wondering if you guys were interested in upgrading from whatever model you own now?.

I currently have the s22 and just love the design and size of it, battery isn't as bad as people make out either,I get around 5-7hrs sot with all day battery (exynos).
Unpopular opinion but I don't like where Samsung have gone with the ultras, they should of just kept the name "note" and left the "s" series alone.i still have my s21 ultra which is the last true "s" series flagship phone.

Anyway with so many rumours and pictures flying about we have a pretty good idea of what the phones will look like now.
So I'm considering getting the s23 mainly because I have an obsession 😅,but only if the bezels are the same or smaller than my s22, battery has been improved, also apparently they are having Snapdragon across the board this time(although never had issue with exynos in last two models).

Phones now are very stagnant and minimal with regards to upgrades that even someone like myself who has an unhealthy obsession with getting a new phone, nothing has caught my eye.

Love to hear from you guys on what you are hoping for in the s23 series, and what phone you're currently using.

Thanks everyone and I hope you all have a great 2023 ❤️

I'm not sure if it's a batch. I think its more related to what the phone is used for and how it is set up which exposes some of the glitches. My main problems revolved around poor network connectivity which caused a lot of apps to crash or stop working which has improved following an update. Little glitches I have now are things like dead links in emails and Web pages, occasional screen response issues but I can get around these by using PC instead of my phone for some things and I use a second mobile for work stuff on my 2nd sim as I had a lot of problems doing my job due to phone issues. I have had Samsungs from the S6 and I would say the S22 Ultra has been my worst experience. Don't get me wrong I do expect the odd glitches with new tech but they were on another level with this model early after release. A lot had issues but to be fair some people had no issues. I think samsung made some big mistakes with the S22 1 being having 2 different processors and 2 releasing it before it had been properly bug tested. If I were to stay with Samsung I think I would probably wait for the S24 or S25 and give time for bug testing and updates etc and that way it can justify some of the expense of this phone which is the most expensive phone I ever bought.

I know smart switch can cause problems for some,I always set my phones up manually.
Also after every software update I always perform partition cache wipe and galaxy apps booster, thankfully I've never had these issues you talk of.
Although I did recently have an issue on my s22 where my mobile network wouldn't connect after leaving wifi area, but that seems to have fixed it's self now.
Samsung have for a long time used Snapdragon and exynos chips in their phones, but rumour has it this year they are just using the Snapdragon 8 gen 2 in all the s23 series.ive found the exynos 2100 and 2200 have been very good and on par with my other Snapdragon phones in terms of performance and battery optimization.
Unfortunately all phones can be guilty of bugs,I remember an update for my OnePlus phone that literally bricked it and you had to wait nearly a month for a new update to fix it 🙄,my pixel 6 pro had quite a few issues that I had to wait for updates to fix, even my iPhones 13 pro had some teething problems.
I guess what I'm saying is some issues are down to being unlucky (bad batch etc.) And some down to poor software/hardware issues.
I've never really been concerned when buying a new phone weather it's going to be buggy, unless it's been well documented.

I think its the way a lot of business works these days. The earliest example comparison I can think of is Microsoft Vs Novell I.e Novell tended to test and validate their products before going to Market whereas Microsoft approach was release to market assp then fix issues later. Both have advantages and disadvantages. If you release doftware early you can capture a market and get market share I.e grab new customers. whereas release later but bug free helps to build your reputation and retain existing customers so the skill is getting the balance right. When it goes wrong it can be very costly I.e with Windows 8 that had the potential to end Microsoft it was that bad. I suppose its a case of learning from mistakes. If samsung learn from the issues with the S22 series they can avoid a lot of problems down the line.

I am going to upgrade Z Flip 4, due to hardware and software issues.

Z flip 4 seems like a lovely phone but since I own it from the release date in August. I can say that Z Flip 4 still has a long way as a phone.
Biggest disappointment is the screen protector which is badly peeling off and there is no Samsung stores locally, the closest store is 66 miles away!!!!!!! I am living in UK Southampton and I cant spend whole day traveling to get phone fixed, that is ridiculous. Other way is sending it for the repair but that between 10 - 12 days according to Samsung customer care.
Then Software glitches and issue with Flip mode randomly on is very disappointing. In overall I think it is probably 2 years to early for a good Flip phone that will last 2 years like any other Samsung phone does.

So overall very disappointed with Samsung Z Flip 4.

That's a shame, luckily I've had no such issue with my flip3.
Only downside is the battery isn't great but I knew it wouldn't be anyway, plus I can manage to get a full day without needing to charge.
