They expect 50 tons of fishing nets to be saved from the oceans to produce the materials for the S22 series. As far as I know it's only the power and volume buttons that's are made from the recycled nets, they are then coated in aluminum. Maybe a few internal components too, but even so they still combine the recycled net plastics with real plastics at a 20/80 ratio. a tiny fraction of the phone. Considering that estimates put the amount of fishing nets lost or discarded at sea at 640,000 tonnes per year is really not that impressive. Greenwashing at its finest. How much carbon does it take to convert the nets into useable pellets for plastic production? Likely more than just your average plastic.
If they cared about the environment they wouldn't have "upped" the charging speeds with a new 45w charging brick which has been shown in testing to only speed up charging times by 1-5 minutes from 0% to 100% compared to the 25w from last year. The only real gains in speed that the brick gives users is in the short charges to boost your battery in a hurry when it's running low and even then it's not much faster. They do make the chargers from recycled plastics but again it's still plastic.
Samsung also have a habit of lumping several free products with the launch of new products. I didn't get the charging brick with my S21 Ultra, but I did get a Pair of Buds Pro and a SmartTag which was sent to me in a sizeable box with 3 more boxes inside, the phone, the buds and the SmartTag. Another delivery later I got the charger in its seperate packaging... within another box.
