This is my first time using a device with an S Pen . Enjoy the occasional scribble on Penup and regularly use the Notes app with the S Pen. Had my S22 Ultra since late February. I'd say I'm possibly a slightly heavier than normal user, mostly because of the novelty factor.
With that context in mind, I've noticed the nib of my Pen has started to fray. Not bad enough to affect how I use it, but visibly worn.
I worry that I might eventually wear the nib down completely? Is that possible?
I'm sure the novelty will eventually wear off and my usage will drop somewhat. I'm just concerned that the Pen won't last as I've only had it for little over a month and the wear is already noticeable.
And now that the nibs aren't replaceable is it fair to assume one would have to replace the entire S Pen (at considerable cost) if it becomes completely worn?
What is everyone else's experience? I've seen comments that previous generation Pens are very durable and some have even never replaced the nibs. But are those people heavy or light users?
I specifically got a device with a Pen to use it. Not to baby it. I hope it proves durable enough to enjoy without worry, and without large cash outlay to replace it.

The whole pen is on offer at samsung.com, £30.80 and usual price is £44.

There is another thread about it and it seems that it can be replaced.

Awesome, thanks. Think I might get one as a backup at that price.
As far as replacement nibs go, I prefer sticking to OEM products. But if necessitated at least I know it is possible.
I'd still be keen to know how other heavier users are fairing.

So I pre-emptively ordered an official Samsung replacement S Pen (for several reasons, not just nib durability concerns) and it arrived with extra nibs. I'm a bit confused because I thought the nibs aren't removable.
So either what I ordered isn't an official Samsung product or the nibs can in fact be changed.
Needless to say I haven't experimented yet, I'll wait until I absolutely have to.
I'll report back for anyone interested.
