S22 Ultra - Frozen Lock screen

New s22 ultra delivered 25th Feb . All set up but experienced an issue with frozen lock screen. Had to hold down to power off but no warning of powering off.  Not done it since but slightly worrying.

I can also confirm that the issue still persists after the new update, which is a real shame! Doesnt Samsung know this is an issue? Have they even aknowledged it? I really had my hopes up for the update and was thinking surely they will have this fixed with the first update, but now it's sadness. And such a good phone too, this freezing screen issue is really a big stinking turd in an otherwise flawless experience. 

 

I wonder if factory reset and reinstalling it would help

So my band new Samsung S22 Ultra 256GB version keeps freezing. Sometimes the fingerprint scanner is partly shown on the lock screen. Sometimes the phone just freezes. Not had this happen to me on a phone for over 10 years?  Also sometimes warning saying One UI has crashed? To get phone going again I have to do a forced shutdown  re start. Not happy.

Getting a lock screen freeze at least 2 times per day now on my S22U Exynos. The fingerprint scanner will partially show and then freezes the whole screen - responds to nothing. Usually after about 30 seconds the screen suddenly goes black and the phone either fixes itself, shows a System UI stopped responding message or just flat-out reboots.

I get the same thing, don't really think sending it back will help as I think it is a software bug that needs fixing there are far too many people having exactly the same problems.

Return to Samsung replacement or money back or take gamble that it's not a hardware issue and hope there is a software fix ... Just remember if there is not a fix and your over the return time limit it will be a repair only and for over 1100 I would send back and not take The chance
