I know there are other posts about this but I figure the more posts Samsung get, the more they are likely to respond.  I've read all the previous posts and none of them are helping me.....

I have an EUX S22 Ultra Boot Loop and I thought I'd put in as much detail as I have figured out.

Firmware version S908BXXUDEXK5.

It started yesterday morning with the phone occasionally freezing and rebooting, which was annoying.

It then progressed to when the reboot happened it would reboot 5 or 6 times.

I performed a soft reset on the phone and thought I had it fixed, but the phone kept dropping the Wi-Fi, and when I turned it back on, it rebooted five or six times.

I performed a hard reset on the phone, wiped the cache and reapplied the firmware and the same results.

I then went three hours without it crashing once, and the Wi-Fi stayed up, so I thought, "Ah ha, I'm past it."

Right up until it rebooted, and now it won't go past the "Samsung" - "Samsung Powered by Knox" screens and continues to reboot. I thought I'd leave it overnight to reboot and run the battery down, but this morning, I came to find it had gone to sleep and still had plenty of power to reboot.

I have 8 days left on my warranty so I went through the troubleshooting and I've raised a request for a support visit since the UK doesn't appear to have Samsung stores any more, but does anyone have any ideas on how to get out of this very low-level boot,  Volume Up and power doesn't work, volume down and power doesn't work.  The only way to change its state is to go into download mode, but that restart doesn't help anything.

I'm looking to get my phone back from unusable to unreliable.

Samsung:  There is enough news on this you need to start letting us know what you are going to do about it!

Hi @WeebleX

May I Welcome you to the Samsung Community Forum 👋

Yes you are indeed correct in that some users are experiencing issues.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within.

I would suggest to send this as feedback via your Samsung Members App too for samsung to analyse, as this forum is a user to user help and discussion forum, so the correct department wouldn't see your post left here.

I do believe there are Samsung Experience Stores in the UK still.

And Samsung have a doorstep repair service option in some areas.

Other than that you can send your phone to Samsung.

I would suggest to take time and date stamped photo's of the phone to show it's aesthetic condition with one of it turned On as a precaution.

And use appropriate in-transit insurance.

Would you let us know how you get on please.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I got the same issue (S22 Ultra stuck in boot loop), I was using the camera when the screen froze and then the phone re-started. I saw the message 'optimising apps' which only happens when the phone updates, so I know update was at play. Then it restarted again and went into a boot loop and kept on restarting.

I spent an hour with Samsung discussing options, but they are too stubborn to acknowledge how wide the issue is and how many people it has impacted. They said it needs to be inspected first.

Took it to the official repair shop, who were awful. Basically they said, it needs a new motherboard (quoted £400!). I asked if they have 'diagnosed' the issue, turns out, the technician logic was, since the phone can't be turned on, it must be the motherboard ...

I said even if I was ready to pay that ridiculous money (which I wouldn't), how would you know if it is motherboard, have you diagnosed it? They said no, they can't run diagnostics because the phone can't be turned on and that's why can't be diagnosed. Well, that IS the problem that it is not booting ...

I left with no resolution, Samsung apparently have released this new update OneUI 6.1.1 (I think) that has impacted many S22 line phones, let's see if they own it. Time to switch to another brand, if this is how Samsung are going to treat us.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE READING THIS, AND HAVE BEEN IMPACTED. PLEASE AT LEAST POST ABOUT IT, SO SAMSUNG ARE COMPELLED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT
