After updating my 6 week old s22 ultra on the 9th of July my battery has begun draining extremely fast. I am no longer getting 1 day plus usage. I am now running out of battery around 4-5pm (always on battery saver mode). It is terrible. Please can this be resolved somehow.? I have run diagnosis and the sc4een isn't on "always on". Nothing has changed other than the installation of the recent update.

I have read suggestions on XDA and numerous sites and they don't help. The situation here raised by the original poster is related to battery drain after a specific software release.

Telling us to turn off X,Y,Z, to prolong the battery isn't the answer. Something within the latest software is causing the issue, or conflicting with a setting or some app in our phones. Switching off useful functions to compensate for this isn't the solution.

I charged my phone 85% in the night before sleep and by morning it came down to 67% which is pathetic. I am charging my phone 2 times a day and my battery life already 98.3%.

My 3 years old OnePlus is giving 6hrs on Netflix but this ultra gives only 3 hrs screentime.

Samsung should fix it fastly.

I too see extreme battery usage, same as you, it is very strange as I do not even need to use the phone, with all battery saving tips and tricks it will still drain rapidly.

Hi, yes I enabled suspend execution for cached apps in the developer options. I then cleared the system cache 3 or 4 times and rebooted it and the battery life improved massively. I am really happy now and get 2 days out of it. It transformed the phone.

I found that setting after seeing on Google other people had tried it.

@H-Bomb Thanks for the update . Good to hear that. Any guess on how many hours of SoT you get now? And does your device have the Exynos version?

@Nigie_1 Thanks. Was it fixed following a software update in your case too? Or did you just cleared the cache without any software update and it was fixed? Do you have the snapdragon or exynos version?

Thanks

I'm pretty sure it was an update. I tried everything else. Just got used to having a mobile battery to get me through the day. Normally I can get a full day using it to cast audio to a speaker at work. Plenty left after so they fixed it. No idea about Exynos
